ALL NFL Team

*Today I want to look at my "All-NFL" team . Please feel free to leave Feedback...

Quarterback: Drew Brees-New Orleans Saints

Analysis: Tom Brady and Peyton Manning are among the elite Quarterbacks of all time but a lot of question marks surround them going into this season. Tom Brady returns off of a severe ACL injury and I think Brady might be a little rusty. Peyton Manning doesn't have Marvin Harrison anymore and despite the fact that Reggie Wayne is the better player now no Quarterback.Receiver combination had more chemistry and success than Manning and Harrison. Also, Colts long time Offensive Coordinator Tom Moore is no longer calling the plays and for the first time in his career Peyton will have to develop a new relationship with an Offensive Cooordinator. Brees had a magical season in 2008 as he almost broke Dan Marino's 5084 Passing Yards in a single season. Brees does not have the plethora of talent surrounding him that Manning and Brady do. Brees is the leader of a revived New Orleans Saints franchise and this year I see him as a serious contender for league MVP.

Running Back: Adrian Peterson-Minnesota Vikings

Analysis: There is no one better in the game than AP right now. Petersons' blend of strength, power, and quickness really took the NFL by storm from the first time he walked into a professional football field. His rookie season was simply marvelous and last season was not too shabby. He has the benefit of running behind a great Offensive Line but you cannot take away from his running ability.

Fullback: Le'Ron McClain-Baltimore Ravens

Analysis: He played a more traditional half-back role in 2008 but proved to have a nose for the end-zone scoring 10 touchdowns. McClain is a very good blocker and runs extremely tough between the tackles. The one knock on McClain is that he lacks the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield.

Tight End: Jason Witten-Dallas Cowboys

Analysis: I seriously considered Tony Gonzalez and Antonio Gates here but Jason Witten takes the nod here. Witten is as tough as nails and he is never reluctant to go over the middle. He is Tony Romo's safety net on the field and when you need a first down on 3rd and 8 you look Witten's way. Witten is also an above average blocker in the running game.

Wide Receiver #1: Larry Fitzgerald-Arizona Cardinals

Analysis: In my entire life I have never seen anyone with the ability to jump and catch the ball at the highest point like Larry Fitz. The guy has hands of glue and can out-leap any Defensive-Back. The run he made in the playoff elevated him to not only the best receiver in the game but one of the league's top players as well.

Wide Receiver #2: Randy Moss-New England Patiots

Analysis: I actually typed Andre Johnsons' name here but deleted it for Moss as Randy is simply the best receiver I have seen in my lifetime not named Jerry Rice. Just two seasons ago he cuaght 23 touchdowns in a single season..Wow! He didn't have as good of a statistical season last year but Tom Brady was hurt and his numbers were not that bad by any means.

Offensive Tackle #1: Joe Thomas-Cleveland Browns

Analysis: There aren't many bright spots in Cleveland right now but selecting Joe Thomas in the 2007 draft was a very good move. Joe Thomas has great footwork and excels in pass blocking; his run blocking is above average as well.

Offensive Tackle #2: Jake Long-Miami Dolphins

Analysis: Like Joe Thomas it only took Jake Long his rookie season to get the Pro-Bowl nod. The Miami Dolphins had a void at Left Tackle since Richmond Webb left town and Long did an excelleant job at fulfilling that tole. Jake is an absolute mauler in the running game and is developing the tools to be a great pass blocker as well. This kid has so much upside and will see many trips to Hawaii throughout his playing carrer.

Offensive Guard #1: Steve Hutchinson-Minnesota Vikings

Analysis: He has been the best guard in the league for seven seasons strong by now and despite getting older Hutch's game is as solid as ever.

Offensive Guard #2: Chris Snee-New York Giants

Analysis: Just ask Brandon Jacobs why it is so easy to run on the right side and he will tell you because of Snee. Snee is an complete guard who has a great footwork and absolutly looks for contact

Center: Nick Mangold-New York Jets

Analysis: This guy has developed into a very good center and still has a lot of upside. Mangold is tough and rugged in the middle and gets great movement on defensive tackle's off the snap.

Defensive End #1: Jared Allen-Minneosta Vikings

Analysis: Productive. That is the one word that I can use to describe Allen. The guy simply is a sack machine who plays with a very high motor.

Defensive End #2: Julius Peppers-Carolina Panthers

Analysis: Peppers could very well be the best defensive player in the game. He is in another contract year so I see huge numbers coming out of him. He is just more athletic, quicker, and stronger than the guys trying to block him.

Defensive Tackle #1: Albert Haynesworth-Washington Redskins

Analysis: Fat Albert was the reason that the Tennessee Titans had such a strong defense last season and I think he will be truely missed in Tennessee. Haynesworth just eats blockers and gets great penetration on every snap.

Defensive Tackle #: Kevin Williams-Minnesota Vikings

Analysis: This the 4th Viking on my list and Kevin Williams is an absolute beast. Very strong at the point of attack and sheds blockers well.

Middle Linebacker: Patrick Willis-San Francisco 49ers

Analysis: The 2007 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year is in a class of his own when it comes to Middle Linebackers. He is a pure tackling machine who can really lay some lumber when needed.

Outside Linebacker #1: Demarcus Ware-Dallas Cowboys

Analysis: 20 Sachs in 2008 and better years ahead of him. He is the best pas-rusher in the gam today and is actually very good in pass coverage as well.

Outside Linebacker #2: James Harrison-Pittsburgh Steelers

Analysis: Defensive MVP of the League and Superbowl MVP last season. Wow has this guy blossomed into an elite player.

Cornerback #1: Nnamdi Asomugha-Oakland Raiders

Analysis: Shame this gane is in Oakland because he is the best Corner in the game as he literally shuts down one half of the field. His coverage ability is spectacular and he is a solid tackler as well.

Cornerback #2: Asante Samuel-Philadelphia Eagles

Analysis: Simply a play-maker will bgood ball skills and the ability to take it to the house. Not a strong tackler but everyone has a hole in their game.

Strong Safety: Troy Polamalu-Pittsburgh Steelers

Analsys: Complete player. Tackling machine. He has very good ball skill and when the balls in his hands he is dangerous is well. He plays sideline to sideline as well as anyone in the league.

Free-Safety: Ed Reed-Baltimore Ravens

Analysis: The best ball-hawk the game has every seen and the most dangerous player with the ball in his hands in the game today. He is simply a game changer on the defensive side of the ball
